Santa Anita Mall
The Santa Anita Mall is located south of the 210 Freeway at Baldwin Avenue and Huntington Drive. It was built in 1974, but is now being upgraded, with some expansions and additions underway. The mall's owner, The Westfield Group is planning to include a new parking garage and some new shops such as H&M and American Eagle.
The entire architecture of this mall is very interesting and attractive. The building is very airy, with high ceilings and skylights, and covers an area of 1.4 million square feet. There are 220 shops and services spread on two levels, along with 27 restaurants, both full-service and in the food court, with The Cheesecake Factory and D&B being the most representative. It is anchored by JC Penney, Macy's, Nordstrom, Borders and Sport Chalet. Stores like Soma, Swoozie's, Talbots, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Chico's, and Coldwater Creek are also harbored. Some of the shops and restaurants are located in the open-air section of the mall. All restaurants and shops are open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and on Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Westfield Santa Anita has many family-friendly amenities such as a play area for children, the carousel, the lounge with amenities, expectant mother parking, an entertainment center for kids, and free strollers. Prices at this mall vary from high to moderate, making it accessible for people with a great range of incomes.
Parking is ample and free, except for the valet parking services, and there are also some covered parking lots. The mall also boasts a 16-screen AMC Movie Theatre with stadium-style seating for those who want to take a break from shopping.
The mall has easy freeway access and is in the proximity of popular tourist attractions such as Angeles National Forest and Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden.
Those who are interested in working there must complete a form and submit it at the mall. Unfortunately, there are no online job forms.
